Sprint Timer
Precision timing for 100m, 200m, and 400m races
About Sprint Timing
Sprint events demand precision down to the hundredth of a second. In professional athletics, races are decided by margins as small as 0.001 seconds. This timer simulates the official start sequence used in track and field competitions with an "On Your Marks," "Set," and "Go" cadence.
Reaction time is measured from the moment the "Go" signal appears until you press the button. In official IAAF competitions, a reaction time under 100ms is considered a false start, as it is faster than the human nervous system can physically respond to a stimulus.
Use the split feature to record intermediate times at key distance markers throughout your sprint. This helps coaches and athletes analyze acceleration patterns and identify where improvements can be made.
