Marathon Timer
Track your long-distance run with pace and split analysis
Marathon Timing Guide
Effective marathon pacing is the difference between a personal best and hitting the wall. Most running coaches recommend negative splits -- running the second half slightly faster than the first. This timer helps you track each mile or kilometer split so you can monitor your pacing strategy in real time.
The estimated finish time is calculated based on your average pace and the selected race distance. For a full marathon (42.195 km / 26.2 mi), even splits of around 5:41/km will get you to a sub-4-hour finish. For a half marathon, a pace of 6:20/km targets a 2:15 finish.
Use this tool during training runs to build pace awareness, or have a friend track your splits during race day. Review your split data afterward to identify where your pacing drifted and plan adjustments for your next event.
